Antique Card Catalog/
Media Cabinet Conversion

Mixed Materials

This delightful piece was commissioned by Stephanie Murray Makeovers for a family who wanted to reuse an antique card catalog as a modern media cabinet. As you flip through the pictures, you'll see that the original had all 25 drawers intact. These were removed and the faces reattached to form a solid facade that now hides stereo equipment and vinyl storage

Replica Nakashima Dining Table

Cherry

This is a replica of a George Nakashima "Frenchman's Cove Dining Table." The top is made from two book-matched slabs of cherry. The cracks were accentuated for their beauty and filled with a rich black epoxy resin. The bowties, made from Brazilian rosewood, keep the cracks from spreading. The finish is Rubio Monocoat

River Table Bar Top

Walnut

This special piece was one of four distinct projects I made for a gentleman who wanted his basement outfitted as a luxurious bar room. This high top bar is made from a live edge slab of black walnut, with a clear resin river running through the middle. The river stones at the bottom were collected from a river running behind the client's property. The bar sits atop custom made metal legs manufactured by A for Effort Furnishings

Murphy Bed

Poplar and Birch Ply

This wall of built-in custom cabinets and shelves hides a queen-sized Murphy bed. I love making built-in units, and I love creative challenges, and this provided both

Tanso Cabinet

Walnut and Cherry

This enormous piece was a labor of love. With two cabinets and 21 individual drawers, it's been one of my biggest projects. The exterior is walnut, and the drawer interiors are cherry. The unique finish on the walnut was achieved by several coats of cherry-tinted danish oil followed by mohogany tinted Mylands furniture wax.
